These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Landlord Legal USA, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“Landlord Legal USA,” “we,” or “our”) websites, services, and applications, including without limitation www.LandlordLegalUSA.com (the “Website”) and any content, guides, articles, documents, functionality, software, or tools provided by Landlord Legal USA (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to access or use the Service.

IMPORTANT: Landlord Legal USA is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. Your use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Any attorney interactions available through the Service are provided by independent, third-party attorneys. Landlord Legal USA does not guarantee any legal outcome, and we are not responsible for advice provided by those attorneys.


1. Member Account Registration

To access the Service, you must purchase a membership and register for a Member Account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary. By registering, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service, subject to these Terms.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.


2. Membership Eligibility

Membership is limited to individuals or businesses who own or manage residential rental properties in the United States. By registering, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract

  • You own or manage rental property in the U.S.

  • You understand the Service is for informational and self-help purposes only and not a substitute for legal advice

We may reject or terminate membership at our discretion and without notice.


3. Member Account Use

Your account is for your own use in managing your rental property. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • Share, sublicense, resell, or exploit the Service

  • Attempt to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to the Service

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.


4. Fees and Billing

By registering, you authorize us to charge your payment method $250.00 annually unless otherwise noted. Memberships automatically renew unless canceled in your account settings prior to the renewal date.

You are responsible for maintaining valid payment information. We may suspend or cancel your access if payment fails. No refunds are issued for unused time.


5. Not Legal Advice

Landlord Legal USA is not a law firm. The Service does not provide legal advice. Forms, templates, checklists, and other materials are for informational purposes only and are not tailored to your specific situation.

We may connect you with independent attorneys who operate under their own professional judgment. Any communication with a third-party attorney is governed by their own terms and may establish a separate attorney-client relationship—but only with that attorney, not with Landlord Legal USA.


6. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this Website, the Service, or communication with our team does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Landlord Legal USA or its affiliates. We do not review, interpret, or apply the law to your specific facts. Nothing on the Website should be construed as legal advice, and no part of the Service is protected by attorney-client privilege.


7. Legal Forms

Members may access, download, and use forms for their personal use only. You may not resell, distribute, or alter our forms beyond adapting them for your own rental properties.

We do not review your completed documents. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using them correctly and for complying with applicable local, state, and federal law.


8. Third-Party Services

We may offer or integrate with third-party tools or websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party services and disclaim any liability arising from your use of them.


9. Ownership of Content

All materials on the Website and Service—including forms, articles, videos, branding, and trademarks—are owned by Landlord Legal USA or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, or exploit any of our content without express written permission.


10. Consent to Communications

By using the Service, you agree that we may communicate with you via email, phone, or SMS (text messages). These may include account notices, renewal reminders, and promotional content.

Text Messaging Disclosure:
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of promotional texts at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or email [email protected].

Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase.


11. Internet Access and Availability

You are responsible for securing your own internet connection and device. We are not liable for delays or outages caused by technical issues beyond our control.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Landlord Legal USA and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service.

In any event, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.


13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Landlord Legal USA, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal fees arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.


14. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time in your account settings. We do not provide refunds for unused time.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. Termination does not relieve you of your payment obligations up to the termination date.


15. No Expectation of Privacy

Information you submit through the Service is not confidential. Do not submit sensitive or privileged information. Communications with our team are not protected by attorney-client privilege.


16. Modifications to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version to the Website. Continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


17. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Greene County, Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.


18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains enforceable.


19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Landlord Legal USA regarding use of the Service. They supersede all prior agreements, written or oral.
